At Lake Town Academy, we are committed to fostering a learning environment where each child is valued as an individual and encouraged to grow at their own pace. As a PreK-8th grade alternative school, we focus on hands-on, experience-driven learning that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Rooted in faith-based beliefs, we seek to nurture not only the academic but also the spiritual, emotional, and social growth of every student.

Our educational approach is centered on the belief that learning is a process, not a race. We do not use traditional grading systems, but instead, we focus on creating positive learning opportunities that build each child’s confidence and instill a lifelong love of learning. By focusing on the process rather than the product, we allow students to engage in learning experiences that are both meaningful and transformative. This approach helps children take ownership of their learning and develop self-motivation, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment.

At Lake Town, we recognize that every student is unique, and we strive to create an environment where each child feels valued and supported. Our small class sizes and individualized attention ensure that every child’s strengths are celebrated, and their challenges are met with patience and understanding. Whether it’s through project-based learning, outdoor exploration, creative arts, community involvement, we aim to equip students with the tools they need to thrive academically and spiritually.

Our school community is built on principles of love, respect, and service, and we believe that when children feel known and valued, they are empowered to reach their full potential. We are dedicated to nurturing the minds and hearts of our students, helping them grow into confident, compassionate individuals who are equipped to make a positive impact in the world.

The mission of Lake Town Academy is to encourage the whole child to develop a love of learning rooted in the truth of God’s word and empowering students in their God given gifts.

Statement of Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the Holy, inspired word of God.

We believe the Bible to be the standard of truth to which We measure our lives.

We believe in the Holy trinity; God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that we are created in the image of God, designed for fellowship with God both now and for eternity.

We believe that we are sinners in a sinful world and that apart from a true salvation experience through Jesus Christ we will be separated from God for eternity.

We believe that our purpose on earth is to be on mission with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach a sinful world.

We believe that as believers we are meant to live in unity with one another.

Our Stance on Social Issues

We believe that God has perfectly created us in his image in two genders male and female.

We believe that the sexual union between a man and woman was designed for the institution of marriage and will present students with a standard of abstinence until marriage.

We believe that medical decisions regarding vaccinations, masks and all other medical interventions are at the discretion of the parent.

While our school will hold conservative views in matters of political issues, we will not encourage or promote any political candidate or party. We encourage our families and students to do the same.

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.
